Good news, the Jack Pine Conservation Estate has built just the venue. Bring your wedding to the backcountry of Ontario’s stunning Jack Pine Barren Reserve. The Jack Pine Conservation Estate is the only venue that offers an immersive experience in Kaladar’s protected lands. Enjoy a unique wedding filled with memories in the granite barrens of Ontario.

Our 188-acre parcel was a candidate for Environmental Protection (EP) and recognized for its significant natural heritage values. Initially identified as an International Biological Preserve (IBP) site in 1974, it was subsequently identified as a provincially significant Area of Natural Scientific Interest, leading to the establishment of the Jack Pine Conservation Estate for research and preservation.

Buildings and Amenities

The Jack Pine Conservation Estate’s patio pavilion combines several outbuildings and structures to create a beautiful venue for weddings and special events. The space is designed to host up to 300 people and includes:

Office / washroom building with 4 stalls and 2 sinks (under construction pending permit process)
3500sqft outdoor decorative concrete patio and wood deck overlooking wetlands
Outdoor bar with smart TV, loudspeakers, 2 commercial fridges
Commercial outdoor sink for washing dishes

Utility room for storage of food, drinks, cutlery, dishes, etc..
Dual-sided storage room for event materials
Stone pizza oven and outdoor kitchen with large BBQ, Argentinian grill, small outdoor sink, cook burner, and an additional outdoor convenience fridge
Outdoor shower / wash station from ticks for pets and people following hiking
Comfortable wicker cushion sectionals, picnic tables, side tables and coffee tables for customizable seating
Elevated open concrete platform for live music, entertainment, and more
Several 6’ propane fire towers for ambiance and heat
Several stone and custom fabricated fire pits for small to large gatherings

Our property offers 2 separate ceremony locations with seating space for up to 300 guests outdoors. Mulched trails with accessibility options via UTV or car are both available for senior and disabled individuals.

Sleeping Arrangements

Until further construction of our main conservation building, sleeping quarters are limited to our yurt and tents for guests at our campsite. Alternatively, local coach bus adventures are a fun group option to bring guests back to hotels after the party.

We have discounted rates with several hotels to help make your forest dream a reality without compromising on comfort for guests. Flashlights are given to groups of guests who embark on a night or evening hike after the event back to our main parking lot where a coach bus will be awaiting your group’s departure.

Wedding Packages

We offer several packages for your special day. These packages allow you to plan your special day for as low as $1,800 for a 2-day rental. This includes a venue only booking without the assistance of our planners, giving you the flexibility to plan your dream day. We do recommend a coordinated event by our staff to reduce costs and oversee a successful event.
