Yurt Rentals

Welcome to the heart of the forest! Our yurts are available for educational workshops, retreats or guest sleeping arrangements.

A detailed list of features is available when you make a reservation or on the website of your destination.

Standard amenities

  • Sleeps 4 to 5 people: 1 queen bed plus a futon
  • Heating (pellet stove)
  • Lighting (skylight or solar)
  • Rustic furniture including table and chairs

Your site may also include

  • Kitchen shelter
  • Wood burning hot tub and deck overlooking wetlands
  • Outdoor shower
  • Picnic table
  • Barbecue
  • Fire pit

Prices may vary depending on the time of the year, the level of service and the location. Average pricing for our yurts is $228 + HST for a 2-night minimum booking.

Firewood is available for sale through upon arrival. It is generally dry oak or maple for $10 per bag / $120 per tote for longer stays or take away.

What should you bring?

  • Bedding and pillow
  • Flashlight, lantern or headlamp
  • Personal gear: clothing, accessories, toiletries and slippers or indoor shoes
  • Personal safety items: whistle, first aid kit, sunscreen and bug repellant
  • Kitchen gear (pots, dishes, utensils, etc.)—ask if this is included when you make a reservation
  • Food and drinks, reusable water bottles, etc.
  • Entertainment items (i.e. binoculars, books, cards or sporting equipment, etc.)
  • Other (matches or lighter, rope, etc.)

Please keep in mind the following:

Food

  • Cooking may only be done in cook shelters or outside.
  • All food should be stored inside vehicles or in wildlife-proof lockers.

Fire

  • Be aware of any restrictions your location may have.
  • Buy and burn firewood from the Jack Pine Conservation office, not deadfall or surrounding trees.

Respect

  • Respect nature: leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but pictures.
  • Please be respectful and maintain reasonable noise levels.
  • Please leave your accommodation and site as tidy as, or tidier than, you found it.

Other

  • Smoking is not permitted inside.
